Obituary of William Douglas McQueen

William Douglas McQueen, age 71, of LaBelle, passed away Oct. 10, 2015 in Lehigh Acres. He was born Oct. 15, 1943 in Beckley, WV, to the late William D. Griffith and the late Shirley Nadine (Grose) Griffith McQueen. He was a resident of LaBelle since 1976 and worked for 43 years for Florida Power & Light. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Ann (Wolff) McQueen, sons: William D. McQueen, Jr., Scott Christopher McQueen, sisters: Sandra Reigh O'Brien, Cheryl Leigh McQueen (Robbie) Yeomans, stepmother: Patricia Griffith (Gil) Gregory, nieces: Paige O'Brien Mason, Amy Yeomans Perez, nephew: Matthew Yeomans and aunts, cousins, friends and coworkers. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Lee McQueen and stepfather: Howard L. McQueen. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of LaBelle with Pastor Preston Long officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of William to Florida Tri County Challenged Athletes Assoc., Hope Hospice and First Baptist Church of LaBelle-Building Fund.
