Obituary of Peter James Borey

Peter James Borey Jr., age 45, died unexpectedly on October 12, 2015, in Fort Myers, Florida. Peter is survived by his father, Peter J. (Wendy) Borey, of Massachusetts, his siblings, Debra G (Leroy) Zoellner, of LaBelle and Michael S .(Rosangela) Borey, of Fort Myers, Florida. Peter had 2 nieces, Christa Lopez and Kayla Allen, 3 nephews, Zachary Adams, Michael J Borey, and Camden Borey, and 2 great-nephews, Domingo Lopez and Dominic Lopez. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Florence A. Fortin his mother, Roberta Gail (Fortin) Adams and his sister, Pamela J. Rowen. Peter was born on July 20, 1970 in Holyoke, MA, to parents Peter and Roberta Borey. He moved to Florida in his early twenties to be near family. Soon after Peter met Rose Demoraes. They were later wed and enjoyed many years together as a married couple. They later divorced and remained the dearest of friends. Rose was remarried and her dream of a baby finally came true; Luna was born. Peter was happy to accept the new role of Uncle Peter. Peter was employed at Acousti Engineering Company where he was a project manager. He was a dedicated, hardworking employee that strived for the best in everything he did. He made many good friends and strong relationships. Peter was a social, active man who was deeply involved in sports for the majority of his life. He enjoyed all sports, a few of his favorites were baseball, football, and golf. He enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to holiday traditions. As a music lover, Peter was often the DJ at many family gatherings. He would play his guitar or sing karaoke just because he loved it. One of his all-time favorites is Johnny Cash. He often attended concerts and one of his favorites was an outdoor festival, The Wanee Music Festival, and he looked forward to it every year. He often attended with many family and friends. His family and friends will always remember him as a beautiful, honorable man. Graveside Services will be held in Ortona Cemetery Saturday, October 24, at 10:00 am with Pastor Jeremey Emory Officiating. Arrangements by the Akin-Davis F.H.
