Obituary of Wilma Strickland Brooks

Wilma Strickland Brooks, age 81, of Lehigh Acres, passed away March 18, 2016 in Lehigh Acres. She was born Oct. 1, 1934 in Pahokee, FL, to the late Lee Roy and the late Verona Mae (Gifford) Strickland. She is survived by two sons: Theodore Lynn Brooks (Katherine), John William Brooks (Stephanie); three daughters: Denise Brooks Holbrook (Rodney), Michelle Brooks Yates and Camille Brooks Egan (Ron); brothers: Clyde F. Strickland (Connie), Kenneth G. Strickland (Diane); grandchildren: Tiahn Brooks, Dallas Brooks, Brittany Rae Brooks, Kay Lyn Sessions, John Brooks (Taylor), Justin Books (Stacey), Heather Holbrook Trenholm (Derek), Angela Holbrook (Randy), Tiffanny Holbrook Dupont (David), Paul Hayman, Brock Yates and Mollie Elizabeth Egan (Brett); great grandchildren: Mason Holbrook Kennington, Landon Jacob Dupont, Amy Nicole Dupont, Trey Matthew Dupont, Coen Timothy Dupont, Kane Alexander East and two on the way. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Ortona Cemetery Pavilion, Moore Haven with Jody Davis officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 hour prior to service at Ortona Cemetery Pavilion, Moore Haven, FL. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
