Obituary of Christopher Michael Milsap

Christopher Michael Milsap, age 33, of Fort Myers, passed away on September 30, 2016. He is survived by his parents, Douglas E. Milsap and Virginia A. Franklin Milsap; his sister, Michelle L. Ramsey, her husband, Matthew and children Olivia and Emma Grace; his grandmother, Cleon Franklin; his fiancé Val Seeley. Christopher is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and peripheral family members he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Alice Justham and grandfather, Orion L. Franklin. Christopher was born on January 31, 1983 in Fort Myers, FL. He was baptized on July 20, 2003 at McGregor Baptist Church, by Pastor David Miller, and was sustained by his faith through the rest of his life. Christopher worked side by side with his father and sister at the family dental practice. He was a loyal and loving son, brother, uncle and friend of many. Christopher was larger than life and lived it to the fullest. The outdoors made him come alive, and he enjoyed all it had to offer, from fishing to scuba diving and snow skiing, to target shooting and gardening. Most of these activities were lovingly enjoyed with his family. His family and friends will always remember him as loving, kind and an extremely generous soul. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 6 at McGregor Baptist Church from 6pm to 8pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 7 at 9am at Verandah Country Club River House, 12201 River Village Way, Ft. Myers, FL 33905, outside under the beautiful oaks. In case of severe weather, please join us in the River House for the service and share your memories. On Saturday, October 8 in Tifton, GA, Christopher will be laid to rest in the family's private cemetery next to his grandfather "Papa", Orion L. Franklin. Flowers may be offered at McGregor Baptist Church on Thursday for the visitation, 3750 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33966. Donations may be made in his memory to Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida,16451 HealthPark Commons Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
