Obituary of Toleman Dezarn
Toleman Dezarn, 90, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on June 24, 1926 to Link and Helen Dezarn who raised a family of 13 brothers and sisters. Toleman served in the Army from 1950 to 1954. After his service in the Army, he married and moved to Cincinnati. After retiring in 1986 from from Ilsco Corporation, he and his wife moved to sunny Fort Myers, Florida.
Known as a man of great integrity, a gentle giant spirit, and a man who was known as the best story teller ever, but most importantly, Toleman accepted Jesus as his Savior many, many years ago. He mentored many and lived a life by example.
Toleman is survived by his wife of 62 years, Loretta Dezarn, one daughter, Linda Simpson (Dan); one grandson, Ricky Lee Simpson (Michelle); two great grandchildren, Ricky Lee Simpson, Jr. and Madison Lee Tilton; one brother, Lloyd Dezarn; two sisters, Bonnie Sue Jones and Alma Webb; and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Hope Hospice House in North Fort Myers, Florida for the compassionate care in his last days. At the request of the family, a memorial service will take place at Sonshine Worship Center on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. located at 12925 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida, 33905. The service will be officiated by Pastor Bobby L. Calvert. Arrangements by the Akin-Davis Funeral Home in Fort Myers.
