Obituary of Billy James Elkins

Billy James Elkins, age 62, of Moore Haven, passed away March 4, 2017 in Moore Haven. He was born Sep. 19, 1954 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Hansel Ulmer and Rosie (Whitney) Elkins. Mr. Elkins married Linda Stapleton. He served his country in the United States Army. He is a wonderful caring man who will be missed by his loving wife and family. He was a very patriotic man in that every time he went to a flea market, he would purchase an American flag. He was a very giving man, he always made sure to give every visitor to his home a little something before they left. He leaves behind his loving wife; Linda of Moore Haven, caring mother; Rosie, children; Linda Elkins, April Elkins, Amber Elkins, sister; Ronnie Breiling, brother; Phillip Elkins, grandchildren; Serenity, Leah, RJ and Julia. Celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven with Pastor Don Murray officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston, FL.
