Obituary of Joanna Johnson

Joanna Johnson, age 88, of LaBelle, passed away June 27, 2017 in Lehigh Acres. She was born Nov. 23, 1928 in Crummies, KY, to the late Clarence Parker and the late Lillian (Stinnett) McClung. Joanna was a resident of LaBelle since 1962. She served for 20 years on the Glades County School Board. She was a member of First Christian Church and helped serve the the church with her late husband, Rev. Mize Johnson for 25 years. Joanna volunteered with Lee Memorial Hospital for 10 years after her husband's passing. Survivors include two sons: Mize (Jenny) Johnson, Jr. of Connecticut and Clarence Page Johnson of Lake Placid, two daughters: Linda (Pastor Bill) Maddox of LaBelle and Dorothy (Bill) Browning of Cape Coral., granddaughter: Jennifer Alderman; great-grandchildren: Justin Alderman and Jaden Alderman. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017, 10:00 am at Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven with Pastor W. T. Maddox Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Ortona Cemetery.
