Obituary of Judith M. Grambo

Judith M. Grambo, age 84, of LaBelle, passed away August 3, 2017. She was born Jan. 11, 1933 in St. Cloud, MN to the late George and Mary McCarthy. She worked as a young woman for the telephone company as a switchboard operator in Brainerd, MN. She then married and raised six children in Hammond, IN. She worked for the post office as a mail carrier. She also worked for several years as a bus driver for special education children; well qualified and dedicated as she had a down syndrome daughter. Throughout, Judith was a very devoted mother. Judith retired to LaBelle, FL in 1983. She loved living in Florida; and as always was very involved in her church and community. She was preceded in death by husbands: Donald McCormick and Irvin Grambo, son: Patrick McCormick and daughter: Susan McCormick. She is survived by loved one: Harry Gibson, daughters: Jean Dudley (Bill), IN, Paula Crouch (Roger), MI and Nancy McCormick (Dann), IN and son: Michael McCormick, Bonita Springs. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be offered by Fr. Chester Domaszewicz at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 355 So. Bridge Street in LaBelle at a future date in mid November 2017.
