Obituary of Marie Nuna Mott

Marie Thomas Mott, age 95, of Fort Myers was welcomed into the presence of her Savior on January 5, 2018. A native of Fort Myers, Marie was born on February 3, 1922 to Jefferson Davis Thomas and Lettie Marie Lewis Thomas. She was one of Nine children. Marie was predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, Clyde E. Mott, her parents, and three siblings, Dillon Thomas, Eula Holton, and Lois Touchstone. She is survived by her children, Elmer Mott (Nancy Risher), Helen Danford (Carl) and Dorothy Simmons (Jerry). Her grandchildren, Cynthia Mott, Beverly Mott, Fraya Sutton, Thomas Mott, Todd Danford, Kim Swartz, Robin Subbert, David Bush, Jerry Simmons, Jr, and numerous great-grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are, Lessie Sterbens, Shirley Hadley, Joyce Cook (Harrell), Lilborn Thomas (Sara) and Pat Dixon. Marie's first love was her Christian faith and attending services at Assembly of God in Fort Myers. She also attended services there when the Church was established in 1947. Marie dearly loved her family and her influence will be felt for many generations to come. Public viewing at 11:30.
