Obituary of Anthony Curella

It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony Curella, age 66, of Labelle, announce his passing on July 28, 2018.

Anthony was born November 3, 1951 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Bernard and the late Jessie (Hoyal) Curella.

Anthony has been married to his high school sweetheart and best friend Pamela (Langlois) Curella for over 42 magical and wondrous years.

Anthony will be lovingly remembered by his caring and compassionate wife Pamela, his daughters Theresa M. (Curella) See and husband Catlin See, Marie A. (Curella) Hubner and husband Scott Hubner and his son Anthony A. Curella. Anthony is also survived by his grandchildren Ulton & Amsten See and Mason Hubner. He is also leaving behind his brothers Bernard and Joseph Curella and his sister Angelina Salisbury and nephew, Fred Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his step mother, Jackie Cruella.

Anthony held various positions over the years from a skilled carpenter to a heavy equipment mechanic. However, those who knew him well know that his true passion in life aside from his family was music. An avid bass guitar player and talented vocalist, Anthony performed all over this state and for various charities over the years. Anthony lived to bring people together through song and always believed that good music helped the soul. Many people knew of Anthony and his late father Bernard Curella by way of their bar, the Alva Country Diner formally Bernie’s Hideaway.

A Celebration of Anthony’s life will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00am at Akin-Davis Funeral home. Visitation will be one hour before the celebration. Burial will be in Fort Denaud Cemetery.
