Obituary of George Lamar Carter

GEORGE LAMAR CARTER. It is with great sadness that the family of George L. Carter announces his passing in Clewiston, Florida on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at the age of 87 years. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor, and his children, Judy Frazer, William Arnold and his wife Sandra, Dotty Hinson, Sydney Clyatt and her husband Glenn, Eileen Abreu and her husband Rey, Patricia Arnold and her significant other Debbie, and Mark Carter. George will be fondly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. His son, Arthur Robert Arnold, Jr., and granddaughter, Sandy Flaherty, predeceased him. George is remembered as being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. "Curly" was born in Live Oak, Florida then became a long-time resident of Miami, Florida then Clewiston, Florida. He had worked for 40 years as a general superintendent at H.E. Nason Construction. A private service will be held in Miami, Florida. Those who wish to make donations and in lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local animal shelter in his memory.
