Obituary of Paul R. White

Paul R. White, age 84, of South Windsor, Connecticut and Fort Myers, passed away November 4, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres. He was born July 4, 1934 in Watertown, MA, to the late Peter J. and the late Mary (Carroll) White. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1952 and then graduated from Boston University, in Boston, MA with his Bachelor's degree in engineering. Paul worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 33 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Paul was an avid golfer and Red Sox fan. For the last year he resided at Cypress Point in Fort Myers where he enjoyed the many friends and special caregivers: Maggie, Zeffie, Jenn, Francois, Amy and Danetta. Survivors include his daughter; Elaine Montane and her husband David of Alva, sons; Stephen White and his wife Marybeth (Sedlock) of Concord, NH, Neil White and his wife Ginger (Snyder) of Tolland, CT, grandchildren; Jillian Montane, Stephanie White, Eric White, Jacob White and Sarah White and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria R. White and brother, Peter J. White of Miami, FL. A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Fort Myers, FL on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers and in memory of "Ol' Blue Eyes", donations may be made in Paul's name to: Heiken Children's Vision Program Miami Lighthouse for the Blind, 601 SW 8th Ave., Miami, FL 33130 or miamilighthouse.org.
