Obituary of Leonard G Tompkins
Leonard G. Tompkins 84, of Alva, FL passed away December 2, 2018 in Alva.
He was born Aug. 12, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to the late William Nelson and Mildred Sarah (Shattraw) Tompkins. He was one of 6 children: William, Barbara, Mildred, Leonard, Douglas and Brian.
Leonard was married to his beloved wife Kathleen Mae for 60 years, they had 3 children: Gerald Edward, Jeannette Barbara, and April Theresa.
He has 12 grandchildren: Lance, Tracy, Denise, Cory, Samantha, Jamie, Michael, Stephen, Lee, Tammy, Denica, and Jeffrey; as well as many great and great-great grandchildren.
He was the proud owner of a cabinet business for 35 years and served Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties.
He was a kind and gentle soul loved by all and will be sorrowly missed.
