To Dee and the entire Granrath family I wish to express my condolences. I met Gordy back in the 1960's through work. He came out to bid on my concrete work, which he got and continued throughout my entire career of building houses. Besides that from that first meeting we became the best of friends, one of my best lifelong friends, I watched all of his kids grow up from babies to adults. I spent many days fishing in Florida keys to South Dakota, wherever we thought we could catch a fish! This man was one of the kindest, most loyal friend anyone could ask for, helping many people with any problem he could help with, which include me whom he bailed out when I had a financial downturn. He gave me the cash I needed. I am so grateful to have known this man and claim him as a friend. I thank all of your family for sharing him with me. Dick Bolt

Another day has come, it has gone by slower than the last. Tomorrow will come, and I will have to go through it one foot in front of the other, knowing that every step I take you will be taking it with me. It doesn't seem real to me, but I know you're in a place that you are free and safe and happy. I wasn't blessed with a step dad, I was blessed with another Dad. For that I will always be grateful. I will miss you're jokes, even though sometimes I didn't fully understand them. I will miss you always telling me stories, and always giving me crap about one thing or another and then laughing about it together. I will miss you giving me a hard time because, again, I spent a whole afternoon/evening hunting and still didn't bring in a deer. Telling me that you're just gonna have to get them all with the rifle, knowing real well you'd at least leave me one. Soon the reality will hit me, but I know you'll be there holding me and telling me I got this, that I'm a strong woman. You may have went home, but you'll never be gone. You'll always be in my heart, walking next to me. I love you G, forever. ~Your Daughter Always

I have never loved someone so deeply and truly, as I have you! It is true that there is that one person for everyone that truly completes them and you were that person for me and I for you! You taught me how to take care of things and handle whatever comes my way, BUT you didn't teach me how to go on without you! That will be a lesson that I will have to learn for myself! I will make it through this, but I know it won't be right away because the pain of missing you is just too great. The ache in my heart is difficult to take, but I try to remember that you would be pushing me to get up and move forward one tiny step at a time! There's so much I want to say to you, so much I want to hear you tell me even if you need to whisper. There is so many things we were planning to do, and so many places we still wanted to go. There are so many plans we made with others that I am still willing to carry on with to help them remember you as well. I will remember you always and hold you in my heart forever! We completed each other with love and arguments, hugs and alone moments, shouting out and whispers, but through it all we shrugged it off and loved even deeper! I have now loved you hard enough to let you go, but please remember that when it becomes my time to join you, watch for me at the dock as I will be the one with a bucket of fresh minnows!
