Fred and the Padgett family grew up together In Deland, Fl. He was like a Brother and true friend to all of us.He was a great baseball player in H.S. and received a scholarship to Troy State University. We as a family will miss him greatly. Our loss is heaven's gain. Fred was a great brother(-in-law) and made you feel comfortable around him. Not only was He a great baseball player but He was a great fisherman. About 40 years ago, on one outing we caught boocoo fish in one of the smaller canals. He knew which canals to fish and which not. Fred was a true friend and would always go out of his way to help. Fred is now in heaven with all of his family and friends and smiling at all of us.He would tell everyone, Don't Worry be Happy. Fred, my Brother, take care. Ron Padgett

I have been praying for his family who lost a great man! Growing us just down the road and a good friend of Reko, Mr. Parantha was a great father and mentor. Not only did he raise two fine sons, he was there for their friends as well. Looking back I can remember his calmness with teenagers and their rowdiness. Erik Howard

Fred will be so very missed. The first time I met Fred I felt like I had know him my whole life. He had such a gentle and kind soul and that southern hospitality was undeniable. Fred was my uncle and my big brother. Fred was a man others wanted to be. Fred will be missed but Never forgotten by the one's that loved him and that is a very long list. Fred had a kind heart and soul. Rest in peace Uncle Fred.
