Paul Bergers

Obituary of Paul David Bergers

Paul David Bergers, 91, of Ft. Myers, Florida, entered the presence of our Lord on September 8, 2020. He was born on December 30, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Jay Arthur Bergers and Margaret Elizabeth (Munro) Bergers. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Paul was married to Doris Marie (Daisey) Bergers, who preceded him to heaven on October 22, 2011. His family blessed him with a rich Christian heritage and he faithfully served God throughout his life. Paul is survived by two daughters, Kareen (Benjamin) Ratliff of The Woodlands, Texas, and Darlene (Cary) Burkhart of Colorado Springs, Colorado, four grandsons, Jeff, Aaron (Katie), Daniel, and David, a sister, Mary Jayne Olivier, and two brothers, Jay (Rosalie) Bergers, Jr., and Jon (Susan) Bergers. Paul spent his life contributing to others. He was an outstanding teacher of children with special needs for a span of more than twenty years and also worked in the fields of real estate/property management. He used his many talents in faithful service to the Lord through music and teaching. While Paul enjoyed history and travel, what mattered most to him was to show the love of God to others throughout his life. Paul will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery. We celebrate that Paul has entered his heavenly home and is with his Lord and Savior. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Fort Myers.
