Obituary of David J. McGarvie

David J. McGarvie, age 73, of Moore Haven passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at home in Moore Haven. Dave was born July 23, 1938 in Lake Geneva, WI. He is the son of the late Floyd and the late Pauline (Miller) McGarvie. Dave was employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber in Albany, GA for many years and then went to work for Proctor and Gamble in Albany where he retired in August 2000. Dave was an avid fisherman, active member of the Lakeport Garden Club and all around good fellow. He is survived by his wife: Barbara(Wilson) McGarvie ; two daughters: Dayna Rose, Dea Ingram (Dale) and one son: Derrick McCalvin; grandson, Kyle Howell and several brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by grandson Joshua Bowles.
