Obituary of Donald Richard Galassini

Donald Richard Galassini, age 82, of Clewiston passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at home in Clewiston. Donald was born October 26, 1929 in Raton, NM. He is the son of the late Joseph Albert and the late Sylvia Margaret (Craig) Galassini. He was employed by Hendry County as a Road Superintendent for 38 years. He is survived by son; Michael R. Galassini (Kathy), brothers; Albert Galassini, Joe Galassini, Chuck Galassini (Marge), Butch Galassini (Sara), sisters; Connie Sampson, Gigi Galassini, Harriet Mathis, Winafred Mixon (Stan), grandchildren; Shawn, Tierney, Eric, Heather, great grandchildren; Caleb, Kiersten, Tylee, Kyler and Emmett He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ann "Mema" Galassini, son, Steven "Steve" Galassini, brother, Jimmy Galassini and sister, Lois "Sis" Hensley. The funeral service was held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4 at First United Methodist Church, 331 W. Osceola Avenue, Clewiston, FL with Rev. John Hicks officiating. Interment will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clewiston. .
