IN MY HEART
MY SISTER WAS OLDER THAN I, A GENERATION OLDER SO SHE REALLY WAS MY REAL BIG SISTER. MY SISTER WAS MY SUPPORT, MY ROLE MODEL. HER BELIEF IN WHAT WAS RIGHT AND WHAT WAS WRONG WAS INGRAINED IN ME BY MY SISTER AS I WAS GROWING UP. MY SISTER GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL WITH HONORS. SHE LOVED MUSIC AND SANG IN MANY EVENTS OF THE SMALL OKLAHOMA TOWN WHERE WE WERE RAISED. I WAS SO PROUD TO BE HER LITTLE SISTER AT THOS EVENTS... HER SINGING REMAINS IN MY HEART,
MY SISTER WAS A MARINE. SHE WAS SO PROUD AND BEAUTIFUL IN HER UNIFORM AND I ADMIRED HER SO MUCH. WHILE IN THE MARINES SHE MET HER FUTURE HUSBAND, BOB O'NEAL. THE TWO OF THEM LOOKED SO ROMANTIC AND GALLANT TO ME IN THEIR UNIFORMS. MY SISTER REMAINS A MARINE...IN MY HEART.
MY SISTER HAD THREE GREAT CHILDREN. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL MOTHER INSTILLING IN HER CHILDREN THE SAME SENSE OF RIGHT AND WRONG WHICH SHE TAUGHT ME YEARS BEFORE. SHE WAS AN EXCELLENT COOK PREPARING SPECIAL 'FAVORITE' MEALS FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL FRIEND, WITTY, WISE AND FUN TO BE WITH, CARING FOR EVRYONE SHE MET, ALWAYS CONCERNED OF THEIR COMFORT. SHE WAS LOVED BY HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND LOVED THEM IN RETURN. SHE CALLED THEM ON THEIR BIRTHDAYS, BAKED THEIR CAKES IF THEY WERE THERE AND SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THEM OVER THE PHONE IF THEY WERE NOT. SHE MADE ALL FEEL SPECIAL. SHE WILL BE SPECIAL TO ME ALWAYS...IN MY HEART.
YOU WILL ALWAYS IN MY HEART DONNA LEA, MY SISTER...I MISS YOU
