He was born July 20, 1955 in Denville, NJ, the son of the late James Whitehead and Barbara (Browning) Crawford. Survivors include his wife: Bonnie (Williams) Whitehead of LaBelle, sons: Joshua James Shirley of NY and Luke Shirley of PA, mother: Barbara Crawford of FL, brothers: James Whitehead of New Port Richey and Danny Whitehead of NJ sisters: Kimberly Rayburn of FL, Jodie Harmon of Fellsmere and Carolyn Brock of Sebring, step sisters: Elaine Sadeghi of Lutz, Carol Jean Bindas of NJ, Diane Stelmach of NJ and Judy Davie of NJ and grandchildren, Victoria, Sophia and Caleb Shirley. Funeral services will be held Thu. March 4, 2010, 5:00 pm at Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle with Pastor Johnny Jarriel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
