Obituary for: Edith "Betsy" Milam Crawford Edith "Betsy" Milam Crawford, age 58, of LaBelle, passed away March 12, 2010 in Fort Myers. She was born Apr. 14, 1951 in Owensboro, Ky, daughter of the late James Thomas and the late Edith Elizabeth (Garland) Milam. Betsy was a longtime resident of LaBelle. She worked in Food Services for the Hendry County School Board for thirty years and was the Food Service Manager at LaBelle High School. Survivors include her husband: Richard Wayne Crawford of LaBelle, daughters: Nancy (James) Tanner of Estero, Susan (Benjamin) Long of Cape Coral, brother: Thomas (Sharon) Milam of Moore Haven, grandchildren: Bryce Tanner, Alexis DeLeon, Bubba Pequeno, Connor Tanner and Sara Pequeno Funeral services will be held Tue. March 16, 2010, 3:30 pm at Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle with Rev. Jim Lanier officiating. Interment will follow in Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven. Visitation will be Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Betsy Crawford Memorial Fund at Seacoast National Bank.
