Obituary of Douglas Lee Doherty

Douglas Lee Doherty, age 66, of Clewiston, passed away January 5, 2013 in Lehigh Acres. He was born Jan. 14, 1946 in Cambridge, MA, to the late Melvin R. and the late Marguerite L. (McGrath) Doherty. Douglas was in the Army from 1965 - 1967, he was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles, The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, retired Volunteer Firefighter for Montura Ranch Estates. He is survived by his wife: Rosemarie (Romanowski) Doherty, son: Douglas Michael Doherty (Fiance Kristen), daughter: Deborah Sue McMahon (Kenny), step children: John Edward (Ana), Eddie (Cristen),Andrea (Richard) and Rosemarie, brother: Michael Doherty, sister: Gayle Gugino (Richard) sister-in-law Virginia Doherty, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, mother of Douglas and Deborah, Carolyn Sue Doherty, best friends Edward and Della Purcell, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Doherty Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1:00 pm at The Glades RV Resort Activity Center, 1682 Indian Hills Drive S.W., Moore Haven with Pastor Artie Carnes officiating.
