Obituary for: David Alan McClusky
Pastor David Alan McClusky, age 60, of Clewiston, passed away November 29, 2013 in Loxahatchee.
He was born Aug. 20, 1953 in Pontiac, MI, to the late Danny Denzil and the late Donna Lou (Merchant) McClusky and raised by his grandmother. Pastor McClusky married Lydia L. Leidy March 17, 1975 at Pontiac, Michigan; she survives.
Pastor David was an instructor in the 1970s in Michigan with the Emergency Medical Technician Education Program for many years. He and Lydia moved to Florida to make their home, where he worked for Belle Glade Hospital for many years and currently working for Hendry Regional Medical Center. David was also a pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Clewiston from 2007 to present. He was a CPR instructor in the Clewiston area for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife: Lydia L. (Leidy) McClusky and one son: Thomas H. McClusky and his wife Chelsea of Wake Forrest, North Carolina and many other family members and close friends. Pastor David was preceded in death by his son: Daniel in 1992.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, Clewiston with his son; Mr. Thomas McClusky officiating. Interment will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clewiston. Visitation was Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston, FL.
In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Arthritis Foundation.
