Obituary of Linda Ann Bruner
Linda Ann Bruner, age 74, of LaBelle, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on March 20, 2014 in Fort Myers. She was born February 19, 1940 in Punta Gorda, FL, to the late Danny Joseph and the late Ida Delores (Gandy) Dampier.
She moved to LaBelle from Sanford, FL in 1959. She was a member of the First Christian Church of LaBelle. She was also a member of Zeta Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma PHI of LaBelle. Linda enjoyed fishing, camping, air boating, dancing, RV travel, barbecues, and family and friends gatherings. She liked to cook and was known for her cakes she made for church, family, and friends. Some knew her as "The Cake Lady". She was a girl scouts Brownie leader and also worked with other school mothers to raise money for band uniforms and equipment and was involved in other school fundraisers during her children's school years. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Joseph Bruner, two sons: Ernie Ellis of LaBelle, FL, John Ashley Bruner of LaBelle, FL and one daughter: Delsena Christine Smith of Purvis, MS, two sisters: Evelyn Collins of Arcadia, FL, Neva Moody of Spokane, WA, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, 2014 at 10:00 am at First Christian Church, LaBelle with Pastor W. T. Maddox Jr. officiating. Interment was in Fort Denaud Cemetery, LaBelle.
