Obituary of Everett W. Winiecke

Obituary for: Everett W. "Ed" Winiecke Everett W. "Ed" Winiecke, age 82, of Moore Haven, passed away April 22, 2010 in Atlantis, FL. He was born Dec. 21, 1927 in Ramsey County, MN, the son of the late Joseph and the late Olive (Korroll) Winiecke. Mr. Winiecke married Diana in 1972 and they moved to Moore Haven from Miami in 1972. Upon retiring as a locksmith from Miami, he held a position as City Commissioner in Moore Haven and as President of the Fraternal Order of Police in Highlands County. Survivors include his wife: Diana L.(Cates) Winiecke, son: Joey Redmond of CA, daughter: Debbie Pollard of Medford, OR, sister: Carol Opatrny of Rosemount, MN and granddaughters, Laura and Allissa. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Winiecke and grandson, Christopher. Funeral services were held Mon. April 26, 2010, 10:30 am at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 438 E. Sugarland Hwy., Clewiston with Pastor Darrel Branham of New Hope Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.
