Obituary of Lillie Mae Barnes

Lillie M. Barnes, age 69, of LaBelle, Florida passed away June 1, 2014 in Ft. Myers. Lillie was born on July 25, 1944 in Boston, Kentucky to the late Shirley Ray Barnes and the late Mary Elizabeth (Burks) Barnes. She was a resident of LaBelle for the last 33 years. She was a fun-loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Lots of people called her Mom or Granny. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her two daughters Roberta (Mike) Johnson and Brenda (Mike) Barnes-Felten; two grandchildren Edward Ward and Mindy Ward-Williamson; three great-grandchildren Gavin Ward, Jayna Williamson, and Kellan Williamson; two brothers Logan Barnes and Shirley "Junie" Barnes; six nieces Jo Ann Barnes-Kappell, Lillie Ann Barnes-Goins, Mary Barnes, Carol Barnes-Vanwagner, Mary A. Barnes-Martinez, Mellissa Barnes-Martinez; three nephews Joe Barnes, Billy Vittitow and Rodney Vittitow She was preceded in death by her two sisters; Zelma Barnes and Ethel Barnes-Vittitow and her niece Belinda "Linda" Barnes. A private memorial will be held for family members. Arrangements will be made by Akin-Davis Funeral Home.
