Obituary of Jimmie Lee Herrington

Jimmie (Jim, James) Lee Herrington Jimmie Lee Herrington, age 84, of Moore Haven, passed July 31, 2014 at home. He was born September 21, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Benjamin and late Ruth (Gladfelter) Herrington. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Link, wife Rita (Nedeau) Herrington, daughters Diana Nunes, Paula Morse and son Bruce Herrington. Survivors include daughter Brenda Updyke, sons William, David, Kevin and Steven Herrington, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He served in the Army and Air Force. He was a member of Saint Martin's Episcopal Church, the Elks Lodge in Clewiston, American Legion and numerous other charitable organizations. His memorial service was held 11 am on August 6, 2014 at Saint Martin's Episcopal Church in Clewiston with Rev. Samuel Thomas Ph.D. officiating. A reception followed at the Elks Lodge. Interment will be at South FL National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. Memorials are asked to be given to charity in his name. Cremation Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.
