Obituary for: Johnnie LaVelle Whidden Johnnie LaVelle Whidden, age 64, of LaBelle, passed away May 12, 2010 in Lakeport. He was born Mar. 11, 1946 in Fort Lauderdale to Van Dillon and Mervine Whidden. He was raised in Palmdale and was a longtime resident of Palmdale and LaBelle. Survivors include his wife of forty-five years: Carlene Whidden, two daughters: Teresa Noah (Rusty) of LaBelle and Tonia Nowlin of Ocala, grandchildren: Joshua Whidden, Alyssa Chont Noah, Chris English and Heath Smiley, one great-granddaughter: Kirsten English, two brothers: Gene Whidden of LaBelle and Lucky Whidden of Ft. Pierce, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sat. May 22, 2010 at 11:00 am, Graveside at Muse Cemetery with Reverend Clifford Avery officiating. Interment will follow in Muse Cemetery, Muse. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions for funeral expenses be made to the funeral home. .
