Obituary for: Lester Curry Strickland Lester Curry Strickland, age 75, of Clewiston, passed away May 19, 2010 in Clewiston, FL. He was born Apr. 21, 1935 in Cotton Plant, FL, son of the late Asa Wiltmore Strickland and the late Leone (Williams) Strickland. He served in the US Navy and was on the U.S.S Talladega that toured the Pacific. Survivors include sons: Lester Joseph Strickland and David Douglas Strickland of Moore Haven and James Nedley (Amanda) Strickland, Okeechobee, brother: Kenny Strickland of Douglas, GA and sisters: Josephine Cannon of Pensacola, Noreen Gilstrap of Inverness, Rena Mae Thompson of Inverness and Joyce Price of Clewiston, and grandson, Dylan Strickland. Funeral services were held Sat. May 22, 2010, 3:00 pm at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 438 E. Sugarland Hwy., Clewiston with Rev. George Bryant officiating.
