Obituary of Samantha Jane Herring

Samantha "Sammie Hammie" Jane Herring, age 18, of Fort Myers, passed away April 10, 2015 in Fort Myers. "Sammie Hammie" was born Aug. 5, 1996 in Tarpon Springs, FL, to her parents: Robert and Jane (Ubell) Herring. She was a junior at Riverdale High School. She loved mudding and spending time at River Ranch. She loved spending time with her friends either socially or on Facebook. She enjoyed reading books and loved sunflowers. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in the Shores. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. Surviving are her loving parents; Robert and Jane Herring, brother; Zachary Herring, and sister; Alexandria Herring. Also surviving are her grandmothers; Janice Herring and Sharon Ubell, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers; Gene Herring and David Ubell. A Celebration of Samantha's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church in the Shores where friends and family will gather starting at 5:00 p.m. for a visitation. .
